Releasing, equipping, and walking alongside international believers – so that the nations within and beyond Germany may be reached with the Gospel and people become disciples of Jesus Christ.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1, 8 (NLT)
Jesus not only gave us the command to make disciples of all nations (see Matthew 28:19), but He also empowered us through the Holy Spirit to fulfill it. Every believer is both called and equipped to be a witness for Jesus – right where God has placed them.
Today, people from around 190 different nations live in Germany – which means: almost the whole world is already here! In our own city of Reutlingen alone, people from over 160 countries are represented. Many of them come from regions where preaching the Gospel or leading others in discipleship is forbidden. Yet here in Germany, we have the freedom to do exactly that – and that is a historic privilege!
Never before has a generation in Germany had the opportunity to reach so many nations literally at their doorstep. The question is: What will we do with this opportunity? Will we take it seriously?
This great mission cannot be fulfilled by a few missionaries or individual churches alone. The whole Body of Christ in Germany – both the German-speaking and international parts – is called to take this commission seriously and work together.
We see our contribution to this mission in two main areas:
- Reaching people from the nations living in Germany with the Gospel.
- Empowering international believers in Germany to recognize their calling and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit – and helping them grow in it.
Trusting in the work of the Holy Spirit, we intentionally use training – especially through the “Go & Grow” course – to encourage and equip believers to walk out their divine calling in a practical way.
The “Go & Grow” training has already been conducted several times in Reutlingen and surrounding area – with participants from many different nations. It has also been held online with believers from churches in Sudan, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. From 2022 to 2023, the course was also conducted online with Ukrainian believers from Kyiv, Bucha, Germany, and the USA.
